What a great year 2013 has been!
I found 2013 to be a year of learning and development with my baking skills and a year of eating too many sweets.
Looking back to the beginnings of 2013, I never could have imagined that I would be able to make cupcakes, cakes and biscuits without burning the kitchen down. I also never could have imagined that I would be able to conquer my fear of piping icing.
2013 also saw the start of selling my cupcakes with friends, family and work colleagues. I was so lucky that so many people liked my cupcakes and the different flavours that I had created. The amazing feedback regarding my baking from friends, family and work colleagues really inspired me to challenge myself.
Other than baking adventures, 2013 also brought many new sweet obsessions. I went crazy for Adriano Zumbo’s Zonut, crazy over eating macarons and obsessing over ice cream. I also have had many bad sweet eating experiences too. (But let’s not get into that).
I really cannot wait to see what 2014 will bring. I have two goals 1. to broaden my baking skills and 2. try to blog more often. Let’s hope that I can reach these goals.
